We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, the complete and final revelation of the will of God to man, the basis of Christian unity and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds and opinions should be tested. (II Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe in one living and true God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect, and externally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each of whom possesses equally all the attributes of the triune God and personally characteristics thereof. (I Corinthians 8:6: Ephesians 4:6: John 4:24)
We believe that Jesus was God manifest in human flesh, the God-man having been conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, teaching, performing miracles, that He was the Messiah promised by Old Testament prophets, and He voluntarily died on the cross a sacrifice for our sins. Furthermore, He arose bodily from the grave, later ascending to the right hand of the Father to become our High Priest and Advocate. (John 1:1 & 14: Mathew 1:23-25)
We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict, convince, and regenerate the sinner; also to indwell, guide, instruct, seal, and empower the believer for godly living and service. (John 14:16-17)
We believe that man was created in the image of God but chose to sin: in consequence of which all of mankind are sinners and under condemnation. (Genesis 1:26-27: Genesis 3:6-24: John 3:17:Romans 5:12 & 19)
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of sins. (John 1:12: Ephesians 1:7:2:8-10: I Peter 1:18-19: Matthew 12:31-32: I John 1:9: John 3:16 & 36)
We believe that such only are real believers as endure unto the end: that their persevering attachments to Christ is the grand mark which distinguishes them from superficial processions; that a special Providence watches over their welfare: and that they are kept by the power of God through faith unto eternal salvation. (John 10:28-29: Philippians 1:6: I Peter 1:5)
We believe that the local church is a congregation of baptized believers, the purpose of which in the Great Commission: First, to make disciples; Second, to baptize them; and Third, to teach and instruct them as Jesus commanded. (Matthew 28:18-20: Acts: 1:8)
We believe that the Church has two ordinances: Baptism, the immersion in water of a believer in Christ and the observance of the Lords Supper, partaking in the bread and fruit of the vine. These are acts of obedience and are not essential to salvation. (Matthew 3:13-15: I Corinthians 12:13: Mark 4:22-25: Luke 22:17-20)
We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the church and that every local church has the right, under it’s Head, to decide and govern it’s own affairs. (Ephesians 1:20-23)
We believe in the personal, pre-millennial, and imminent coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this “Blessed Hope” has a vital bearing on the personal conduct and service of the believer. (I Thessalonians 4:16-18)
We believe in that “blessed hope,” the personal, imminent return of Christ Who will rapture His church prior to the seven- year tribulation period. At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will personally and visibly return with His saints, to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom, which was promised to the nation of Israel. (Psalm 89:3-4: Daniel 2:34-45: Zechariah 14:4-11: I Thessalonians 1:10: I Thessalonians 4:13-18: Titus 2:13: Revelation 3:10: 19:11-16: 20: 1-6: I Corinthians 15:51-52)
We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged outside of marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, beastiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex. (Genesis 2:24: Genesis 19:5 & 13: Genesis 26:8 & 9: Leviticus 18:1-30: Romans 1:26-29: I Corinthians 5:1: & 6:9: I Thessalonians 4:1-8: Hebrews 13:4)
We believe that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman by mutual consent. (Genesis 2:24: Romans 7:2: I Corinthians 7:10: Ephesians 5:22-23)
We believe that men and women are spiritually equal in position before God, but that God has ordained distinct and separate spiritual functions for men and women in the home and the church. The husband is to be the leader of the home and men are to be the leaders (pastor and deacons) of the church. Accordingly, only men are eligible for licensure and ordination by the church. (Galatians 3:28: Colossians 3:18: I Timothy 2:12-15: 3:4-5, 12)
We believe that human life begins at conception and that the unborn child is a living human being. Abortion constitutes the unjustified, unexcused taking of unborn human life. Abortion is murder. We reject any teaching that abortion of pregnancies due to rape, incest, birth defects, gender selection, birth or population control, or the mental well being of the mother are acceptable. (Job 3:16: Psalms 51:5: 139:14-16: Isaiah 44:24: 49:1,5: Jeremiah 1:5: 20:15-18: Luke 1:44)
We believe in six days of creation by the direct hand of God and each day being a literal twenty-four hours in length. We reject evolution and its unproven hypothesis. (Genesis 1)
